Movie of the Week
This week I saw the movie "In your eyes" on Netflix. It's about this girl and guy who could not be more different. Becky (the girl) is in her mid-twenties, lives in New Hampshire, married to a guy maybe nine or ten years older and in her college years she went insane when her mother died and was put in a mental hospital for three months. Dylan (the guy) is also in his mid-twenties, lives in New Mexico, is single and living alone in a trailer in the middle of nowhere, and spent two years in prison for taking things that weren't his. One day they realize for some odd reason they have this psychic connection where they can hear each other, see what the other person is seeing, and smell what the other is smelling. I wasn't falling asleep through it but still if you ask me there were parts where they could of amped up some of the action and the romance. Wasn't the most exciting, wasn't the most action packed, and it wasn't even the most romantic but it teaches you that you're never alone, that even when it feels like you've been backed into a corner someone's been there huddled up right beside you holding your hand even if it took you a few minutes to see them through the tears.
Book of the Week
So I just read this book that's been on my goodreads list for forever. It's called "The Word Changers" and I was really excited about reading it. I read the summary and it sounded like an awesome book and the cover was really cool. Read summary bellow.
A world she had only ever dreamed about would open her eyes to a world she never knew. Her parents' marriage is falling apart. Fifteen-year-old Posy feels her life is falling apart with it. Posy retreats to an old library down the street, where she selects a mysterious book in a secluded corner and is magically drawn into its story.Posy finds herself in a kingdom ruled by a cruel and manipulative king and queen who have attempted to usurp the role that belongs only to the Author of their story. With the princess having fled and the kingdom teetering toward rebellion, Posy is joined by Prince Kyran as they fight against their slavery to the Plot.Posy and the prince search beyond the borders of the story for the runaway princess. They encounter mysterious places, horrifying monsters, and fierce battles. They make both friends and enemies as their journey leads them into many dangers. But some of the worst dangers, Posy soon finds, lie deep within her own heart. Will she be able to find the courage and forgiveness needed, not only to save the story, but to heal the heartache she knew in her own world?
Sounds good, right? Wrong! It bored me to tears. The plot was so awesome but somehow it was just boring, not enough romance, action, family, friendship, etc. All the things a book needs! I mean the book had that stuff but in my opinion, it seemed rushed. For example, the prince falls for Posy and in the middle of the book he comes out and says he loves her. What's wrong with that you ask? Well he hardly knew her! They were rushing the story line so fast the only things Posy and the prince really talked about was the upcoming revolution he was starting and how to find his sister. But, hey that's just my opinion. Check it out and see if you agree or disagree. Don't be afraid to comment, I can take it! :)
Song of the Week
I just found this totally awesome, awe inspiring, heartwarming song that totally will bring out the nostalgia in you. It's called "Where Are You Now" by "The Honor Society". I seriously felt tears in my eyes just listening to it. It really made me think about things. Like my kindergarten crush who I thought I was going to have a billion babies with. My friend Natalie I thought was going to be my best friends always. Mrs. Wentz, the first teacher I had who made me really want to learn. This Tom Higgenson is super talented with words. I can really see him going somewhere. I mean, I don't think he should go solo or anything but you know how bands are. They stay together for a while and all's it takes is one falling out and one guy to leave the band and everything falls apart. But seriously if you love awesome nostalgic music check this song out!:)

Burst
You'll never believe what I did at lunch today. Okay so the day started off like any other school day, stand in the cold freezing my ass off at my bus stop. When I got to first period ( child development) I was partnered up with some freshman, who was nice enough, but you know that awkward moment when you exchange names with someone you've never met? Well the whole class was like that, us awkwardly trying figure out what to do for our project. What can I say sometimes people just click and have that natural spark where you feel like you can say anything to that person and they won't care and some people don't. We didn't. In next class ( academic support) I just sat there and read this awesome book I rented from the public library called "What the Spell?". Truthfully it really sucks that Brooklyn ( main character) thinks to be "somebody" she has be part of a group of snobby, rich, brats who think they need to cheat their way to the top. And their way of showing her they were her "friends" they BLACKMAILED HER! I mean you think once someone did something like that to you, you'd figure out that person's not your friend but NOPE! I've gotta say I kind of love and hate Brooklyn at the same time, I mean she can be as annoying as this snobby girl in my history class. Anyway you should check it out, it's an awesome book! Gotta jet, a gordita supreme is calling my name. Till' next time.
See ya,

Dance, Anyone?
Okay so I just got back from my first school dance, ever. And I've gotta say I'm a little bit surprised because I know that high school dances aren't what PG-13 rated teen movies make them out to be. Their is no such thing as a perfect slow dance just an awkward swaying back and forth with a guy trying stroke to your breasts (just so you know that's not how slow dancing works, in case you horny teenage guys didn't know that). No one wears long dresses anymore, because apparently making sure your date sees how hot your legs are is more important than making sure you don't get pneumonia, but I guess I shouldn't talk because I was one of those girls and just so you know my legs are still red. And believe it or not guys are actually a lot less rude and impish than teen movies make them out to be. So I walk through the door, wait in line to get in, put my coat in the little theater, and stand in the middle of the room like a total dork looking for anyone I know, because seriously everyone looks like they're decked out for the grammys. I went with a short white dress with a silk ribbon wrapped around my middle with sequins on it, a mini striped itchy zip up jacket, pink flower wedges, and my hair some hair up some hair down (just in case your wondering). I found this girl Alexis (who's in my gym class) first, we had an awkward little tidbit of conversation and then she walked away, and after what felt like an eternity my friend Savanna found me. We walked around look for other people we actually knew and we found Calley and Brandi. I've known Calley since I was a little girl and Brandi I met in sixth grade and it was like BFF at first site. Brandi said she liked my dress and then just walked away and after standing there for several seconds going WTF, my date came up to me and so did Calley with a friend of hers who I knew from sewing class. We stood talking for a second and than Calley suggested we sit down at a table. We talked a little, when this girl came up and told Calley to go and dance with this guy awkwardly standing behind her. He was cute, looked kind of Indian, and if I hear right over the blaring music had an accent. Calley said she didn't need her charity just because she didn't have a date, not in those exact words of course. But still he sat down and talked to us and said his name but it was to loud to hear and understand what it was. And I talked to him a little too, and if heard right I think he asked me to dance but I totally mistook what he was saying and said all people did on the dance floor was stand around and talk. You know what? I think I may even have crush on him, and I think the feeling's mutual because the thing is when everyone was talking I stole a look at him and he was already watching me, so I just blushed a little and looked down. Afterward he left and I gotta say I was a little disappointed, we took pictures in the photo booth, Isaiah aka my date got me to dance. Me and my friends pumped our fists in the air and sung along to a song we sung in 8th grade chorus. I had punch that was just punch, not spiked or anything but maybe a little watered down. All of us sat on the stairs and acted like idiots, Brandi and her sort of boyfriend Nate had a war over who would get the zero calories Pepsi just in case your wondering Brandi won, I took pictures of my friends in funny positions, me and my date played matchmaker with a shy guy who sits at my lunch table and my bad-mitten partner in gym. I called my dad to pick me up when the dance was almost over and I waited with my date and my mom for my dad to bring the car around. After what felt like an eternity my mom said my dad may of just parked. And there he was in the parking lot sitting in his warm car and blasting the radio and smirking up and down like Satan. Turns out he was never going to bring the car around, he was parked there while I was standing there freezing my cutely self's butt off. Oh, almost forgot on my way over to the car I saw the cute Indian guy again, he was getting into the car and just as I was wandering if he had heard me nagging about how cold I was, he smirked at me and got into the car. I got into my car wondering if he really remembered because we only met for a brief few minutes or if he was just smirking at a passing stranger. I know what you're thinking, what about my date? Truthfully whenever I start dating someone it always turns out to be really awkward. So the reason I keep thinking about that brief encounter with that cute guy I talked to for a few minutes, it was because I felt like I could talk to him and their might of been this kindle of spark, I don't know I might just be exaggerating or this might be one sided. Whatever. I guess I had a good time. Well I need to go change out of my dress before my dad eats my smarties. See you later, BYE!:)
